OH Sadaharu, the most famous baseball player in Japanese history, played for four decades for one team – the Yomiuri Giants. He holds the world career home run record at 868. He signed with the Giants as a pitcher, but eventually converted to a full-time hitter. He was known to hit with a “flamingo” leg kick. This legend is still alive today at 84 years old and is now the chairman of the team Fukuoka Softbank Hawks.
